4/18/2010 ~ Today I attended the Covenant Community Church, in Fort Walton Beach, FL.
This Sunday I attended the Covenant Community Church up by the fairgrounds in Fort Walton Beach, FL. The Church exterior is very unassuming, but the cheerful, evangelical congregation sing their loud praises in a sizeable interior with a single central video-screen right behind the preacher. It's "AA-men" and high energy! This church had a very international flavor with all the flags draped along the side-walls!
Today they were blessed to hear a visiting missionary, Ron Grey, who you see in the photo off to the left. His experiences are impressive; and his message was focused on expanding our horizons.
Ron has had incredible success evangelizing and converting foreigners to Christianity through a "Business Paradigm" whereby he assists folks to improve their economic situations ~ whether that be third world individuals using 'Microloans' or big European businessmen with more complex finances. He establishes friendships on the business basis; then 'infiltrates' The Word of Jesus as a secondary, but very successful operation. We wish you continued good luck, Ron!
MESSAGE ~ "ENLARGE YOUR BORDERS"
(Pastor: James J. Grabo; Guest Speaker: Ron Grey, Missionary/ Charles Simpson Ministries).
Ron Preached: "The seed will come forth in its season. You planted in the past. How the seeds will come forth! They will flower even through the parking lot.
"This is my 35th. year of Ministry. My son was born here in this town. But last year I traveled over 150,000 miles around the world. I’ve been in Costa Rica 45 times. There we recently built two 1,000 sq. ft. concrete pastoral homes. Last year I visited Kenya, Africa where we enlarged a church building to hold up to 450 people. We will dedicate it in September. We have Ordained more than 900 pastors there.
"We built a school in Uganda and we’re training them in micro-enterprise. Later this year we’re teaching ‘What it means to be a man’ in Mexico & Guatemala. I went to Nicaragua for the first time recently. And I’m going to Paris, France on Wednesday; then to Belgium & Poland to give some business seminars. Incredibly, at this time, Europe is less than five percent (5%) Christian! And that’s mainly composed of nominal Catholics.
"In that environment, if I say I’m gonna preach, no-one comes. But if we go to teach business then we can preach the Lord. We use business as a conduit to The Kingdom. (See: Opportunity.inc.net). We call this ‘Business Evangelism’ and we’re seeking entrepreneurs to travel with us. This is not a ‘Trojan Horse.’ We want them to succeed. Then we tell ‘em we’re from Jesus Christ. The business approach opens doors.
"Read my book: ‘Enter to worship; exit to save.’ (Recently updated and videotaped; and available today). Here are some words to live by: ‘If you never succeed, don’t sky-dive!’
"Isaiah 54: 1-3 ... God wants us to intentionally enlarge our borders; increase our capacity for Him. Things hinder us ... for e.g., the traditions of men. We can do the church thing, know when to say ‘Amen’ but not understand important issues. For example, the young housewife cuts the ham into two pieces and cooks it exactly the same way generations of her ancestors did - then later finds that there was no magic in that. They did it that way generations ago because they didn’t have a large enough pan! We do stuff without really knowing why. Another example: June is a popular month for weddings. The reason is that folks had their annual baths in May. But actually, they had started to ‘smell’ already in June. So that’s why they carried a bouquet of flowers ~ to hide the aroma!
"The traditions of men make the power of God of no effect, can prevent us enlarging our borders. But we must remember that God is doing new things. The things that hinder us are tradition and social status. But we are not here to please the world. Know the truth and it will set you free. Psalms 118:5.
"People hinder us from doing what we should. Even other Christians. The trumpet of the Lord is sounding today. The Lord has a purpose for us. It is our season. God want’s us to:
"1. Enlarge our HEARTS. 1 Samuel 16:7. He wants us to increase our capacity for Himself. Be filled with His greatness. It is not about what He can do for us. ‘My soul panteth.’ Seek Him!
"2. Enlarge His House! Ephesians 2: 19-22. God is building His house and Satan will not prevail against it. We have a web-site for Muslims. Many go to the site to seek God. So long as we don’t use the word "Christian" we can talk about Jesus Christ the Son of The Living God. God is enlarging His House. We don’t want ‘Religion’, we want relationship with God.
"3. Enlarge our Confession: The church says: ‘There’s not enough money, time or people.’ The Word says: ‘I can do all things through Christ.’ So quit the negativity. Change our confession, the things we spend.
"4. Enlarge our Vision. Proverbs 4:19 ... "Where there is no vision ..." Instead see ourselves as God sees us: Victorious, overcoming, finding a way when there appears to be no way. See people as God sees them. Save our city. Bring the people to Jesus. Do not look down on the world. There but for God, go I.
" This is not a time to hoard. Invest in God. Sow; Sow into vision. God wants us to have a vision for our city, for the world! (Looking around at the walls ... ) It’s great to see all the flags here. It reminds me of God’s vision for the entire world.
"Do not serve a little plastic Jesus. See Him as wisdom, holiness, power; changeless in all His power and reality. He will give you rest; will come again ... Lord of Lords, high and builded up with His magnificent train touching the temple. Say the Jabez Prayer: "Bless me, enlarge ...". God created us. Ask God to enlarge our walk. Pray for God to enlarge our territory. Believe in Devine apportionments and creative ideas.
"God is still speaking today. Hear His voice and do His will. Trust and believe God for the accomplishment of great & mighty things. Stretch beyond our comfort zones. We have the mind of Christ but are not using it. He wants us to think outside the box.
"The church too, must step up to the plate, find a way, and trust in God. Don’t take no for an answer. I want to pray for your mind. Give us creative ideas. Be transformed by the renewing of our minds. God wants us to be increased. Jeremiah 29:5-7.
"God’s plan is for us to be increased in every arena of our lives. I want to die on the way to my mission. I’m going to live my life with: No remorse, no regrets, no retreat. This is our finest hour. God is saying (Prophetically). This is our time to enlarge. Just do it. "Do not stop at this place." Go far enough. Stretch out your tent stakes. Walk with Faith. The purpose of God is to make us be more. Do not be down-sized. I declare to you today that God is with you; will help you to do what He has called you to do.
"Do not be limited by your circumstances. Make a way. Ask God to renew your mind. God will give you the ability to help, not only yourselves, but others. Enlarge your borders, your spheres. See His house enlarge. God will put us in the place to accomplish His purpose. God wants you to stretch out your tent stakes. God will fill your tent. Trust in God, Do not be duped by the devil. God is going to do what He said, enlarge your life!
"As you reach out in your arena, people will be saved as you enlarge your borders. Let us pray for God to give us faith and vision. We are called forward. ‘All things are possible through Me’ - thus saith the Lord!"
(NOTE: I want to emphasize that, pursuant to the relevant campaign prohibitions, none of the churches, Pastors nor parishioners in their official church capacities ~ referenced or pictured herein ~ officially support my political candidacy).
Thanks for visiting ... my site is under construction, but feel free to roam around. I appreciate your comments. /Bill
